Wall Go: rules and exercises
Control the most squares in enclosed territories.
Territory for 2 to 4 players on a 7×7 grid.
1. Learn the rules
Setup
- With 2 players, each has four pawns: two preset and two placed.
- With 3 or 4 players, each has two pawns, placed in snake order.
Turn
- Move one pawn one or two orthogonal steps without crossing walls or pawns.
- Build a wall on an open edge of the ending square. Each player has one wall breaker per game: activate it, cross an adjacent wall and confirm its removal instead of building.
End
- A territory is exclusive when all its pawns belong to one player: they are frozen and build no more walls. If all your pawns are secured, your turn is skipped while the others continue. A rival can reopen the territory with their wall breaker.
- The player with the most territory squares wins.
- If your clock expires in a two-player game, you lose. With three or four players, you are eliminated: your pawns leave, your walls remain, and the others continue.
2. Recognize the objective
Closing many squares is not enough: you must exceed the other players’ territory. Check which pawns become immobile, who still has a wall breaker and whose turn will be skipped after each enclosure.
3. Put it into practice
